ILA's Children's Fund Hole In the Wall Gang Camp Fund Golf Tournament Scheduled For Monday, October 15, 2012 Postponed Until May 20, 2013
NORTH BERGEN, NJ - The annual ILA Children's Fund Golf Tournament benefitting the Hole In the Wall Gang Camp Fund, scheduled for Monday, October 15, 2012 has been postponed and rescheduled for Monday, May 20, 2013. The ongoing negotiations between the International Longshoremen's Association and United States Maritime Alliance for a new Master Contract, along with all ILA ports engaged in local bargaining, make it difficult to hold the tournament in two weeks.
ILA President Harold J. Daggett and USMX Chairman James A. Capo serve as co-chairmen of the annual fund raising tournament. The ILA and its employers have been holding the golf tournament benefitting the late actor Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp Fund annually since 1993 and have raised over $2.5 million for the camp for children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
Contributions to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp can still be made and sent to:
